  • Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties — Head Start

    No-cost Head Start for pregnant people and children from birth to 5 living in Ramsey County, at 18 locations.

  • Parents In Community Action (PICA) — Head Start

    Head Start at 13 centers across Hennepin County, with health services, workforce programs and parent training. Enrollment lines in Hmong, Oromo, Somali and Spanish are on its contact page.

  • Tri-Valley Opportunity Council — Head Start

  • Catholic Charities Twin Cities — Hennepin County Shelter Hotline

    Hennepin County residents 18 and older who are at risk of losing their housing or need emergency shelter can call the hotline, run by Catholic Charities, for shelter, mediation and advice.

  • The Salvation Army — Northern Division (Minnesota)

    Emergency help with rent, mortgage and utility bills from the Salvation Army's Northern Division, whose local teams assess each family's needs.

  • Nurse-Family Partnership — Minnesota

    A registered nurse visits expectant parents at home during pregnancy and the child's first years, about two and a half years in all. Minnesota programs include Hennepin County, Fond du Lac and White Earth. Nurse-Family Partnership is now run by Changent.
