    A registered nurse visits expectant parents at home during pregnancy and the child's first years, about two and a half years in all. North Carolina has programs in many counties, including Wake, Guilford, Forsyth, Buncombe, Gaston, Pitt, Robeson and Rockingham. Nurse-Family Partnership is now run by Changent.

    Free rides to and from Medicaid medical and mental health appointments for members of Medicaid Standard and Tailored Plans, the EBCI Tribal Option and NC Medicaid Direct. Ask at least 2 days ahead (4 days for NC Medicaid Direct); you may also get money back for gas.
